Chapman Wiley targets 200,000 turnover following BQ470 investment

Trade finisher Chapman Wiley is aiming to double its turnover by expanding its capabilities with the installation of a Horizon BQ470 PUR binder.

The Bow, London-based business signed for the Intelligent Finishing Systems-supplied machine at the recent Print Efficiently event.

According to Derek Chapman, co-owner of Chapman Wiley, the four clamp BQ system is "the perfect way" for the company to capture more of the market.

"We are handling more and more short run digital work and PUR provides the most effective bind that creates a very high quality finish," he added.

The BQ470 can bind books up to 65 mm thick at a rate up to 1,350cph and features a large icon-based colour touch-screen for easy set up.

Jamie Wiley, co-owner of business, added that the timing was right to make the new investment following the relaunch of the company's website.

He said: "We are moving out of the recession and we want to be ready to capture increased interest.

"The four clamp version gives us a wider scope in terms of the amount of work we can produce. We know we can easily handle runs of one up to 5,000 or more."
