Bodoni Systems at Drupa with updated pressSIGN software

Colour management specialist Bodoni Systems will launch a new version of its pressSIGN software at Drupa for hitting ISO 12647 and other colour specifications.

PressSIGN Pro, which costs £2,295, includes support for a far wider range of measuring instruments, such as on-press spectrophotometers from Heidelberg, Komori and X-Rite.

Bodoni managing director Ian Reid said: "Before, when it just supported the Eye-One, you couldn't use it on every job. This means you can."

In addition to the integration with press consoles to make quality conformance commonplace, the software shows press minders how to adjust ink weights to hit Lab colour targets and then use plate tone curves to achieve the desired specification, whether it is ISO 120647, Gracol, or their own in-house specification.

The firm recently introduced a version of pressSIGN for print buyers. The £295 tool, pressSIGN-Printbuyer, enables buyers to check received print meets the colour standard initially specified.
