The large-format eight-colour perfector, which has been specified in a four-over-four configuration will complement two existing four-colour machines, eventually replacing one of those models.
Due to be commissioned in the last quarter of 2012, the Rapida 142 press will feature fully-automatic plate changing and KBA's CleanTronic Synchro system, which washes the machine's cylinders, blankets and rollers simultaneously.
Bell & Bain managing director Ian Walker said the new investment is the latest stage of a partnership with KBA that has enabled the 80-staff printer to develop its business.
"We look forward to the new press, with all the latest performance technology, continuing this trend," he added.
According to KBA UK managing director Christian Knapp, commitment to a brand by existing customers cannot be understated in the current economic climate.
He said: "Customer loyalty is not a given in these difficult market conditions and we are extremely pleased that Bell & Bain has returned to KBA again for their third machine.
"The Rapida 142 large format configuration will enable Bell & Bain to continue to further enhance its high quality responsive print portfolio and drive growth through sales."
Turning over more than £8.5m per annum, Bell & Bain has a client list that includes more than 150 customers.
