The company will unveil the upgrades, including the Ideal inline delta E colour measurement tool and the new automated Braille detection module, at Labelexpo in Brussels from 28 September – 1 October.
Nick Holmes, spokesman for the company said: "I think the interest will come mostly from packaging printers, of which there are many in the UK, and as a sector it’s doing rather better than commercial print."
AVT will also launch its new barcode module for PrintVision/Helios II, which inspects and verifies 100% of all printed linear (1D) and matrix (2D) barcodes.
The barcode module, which is targeted at the conventional and digital label markets, immediately alerts of any barcode quality or readability problem when installed on a printing press or on a rewinder.
The Braille detection module, which works in parallel to print inspection, detects any fault in the Braille dots on pharmaceutical labels.
Also at the show will be JobRef, AVT’s job verification tool that uses the original PDF file to confirm job correctness and ProMIS, which sends information from MIS systems direct to the Helios II inspection system, automating setup and preventing mistakes.
