The 17-year-old business signed for the machine, which was launched in February 2012, at Duplo's recent open house held at its headquarters, Automated Precision House.
The new saddle system, which is positioned underneath Duplo's Alpha saddlestitcher, enables the printer to score and trim in one-pass.
Artisan Litho is using the machine to finish jobs printed across its trio of Heidelberg presses that include two five-colour machines and a single-colour GTO.
Artisan Litho managing director Neil Buckingham said: "Having used Duplo bookletmakers since day one, we have a lot of faith in both the quality and reliability of their products.
"The need for change has come as our volumes have increased, which has also given us the opportunity to upgrade to a system capable of topping and tailing finished books, as well as scoring inline."
The DBMi can handle 9,000 books per hour and features two, three or four Hohner stitching heads and up to six DSC-10/60i suction collators.
The collators feature intelligent feeding capabilities, enabling the user to customise each collator bin, with changeover possible in around 60 seconds.
"The DBMi ticked all the boxes and more. The option to finish A4 landscape books is a great addition for us and allows us to increase our offerings to our customers," said Buckingham.
It complements a finishing setup at Artisan Litho that includes a Polar Guillotine 92, a Stahl T52 folder and a Citoborma 4 Hole Drill.
