The website, www.recycled-papers.co.uk, is designed to provide news and information on recycled papers and background information on sustainable paper usage.

A survey undertaken by the paper company found that designers have seen a 50% increase in demand for environmentally friendly papers in the past two years.

Shannan Hodgson, brand sustainability manager at Arjowiggins Graphic, said many designers believe recycled papers don't have the same quality and print finish as virgin fibres.

"In reality, advanced product development in the area means this is no longer the case," he said. "Designers can rely on recycled papers to deliver consistent high quality, which has only previously been available with virgin fibre stocks."
