Antalis brands acknowledged for green efforts

Antalis' own label-coated brands Novatech and Black Label have been awarded FSC and PEFC status respectively.

Black Label is a range of high-quality, triple-coated, woodfree papers and boards in gloss and satin finishes, which are available in a wide range of sizes and substances.

Novatech is a high-quality, gloss woodfree paper and board range, available in a gloss or matt finish.

The Leicestershire-based paper merchant said the grade is manufactured using "ultra modern coating technology" to give "excellent print quality, superb runnability, excellent whiteness and good opacity".

Antalis product manager Adrian Johnson said: "There's a renewed vigour of late throughout the forestry and logging trades, in pulp and paper manufacturing and through into paper distribution."

Johnson said this is creating a new commercial environment where forestry and paper products can carry universally accepted certifications from credible and audited authorities.

He said: "This is encouraged by a surge in end-user interest, where both consumers and commercial organisations take greater note of how the products they purchase are manufactured and sourced."

All of the Antalis mainstream coated brands are now either FSC/PEFC or recycled.
