The Bradford, west Yorkshire-based business installed the new machine last month to complement its range of in-house litho and finishing equipment.
The Ricoh Pro C751 has a monthly duty cycle of 350,000pp and a print speed of between 65ppm and 75ppm. It can print at a resolution up to 1,200x4,800dpi.
According to Alpha Media Solutions sales and marketing director Simon Rose, the latest machine demonstrates that the company is "never afraid to invest in new technology".
He added: The digital press means we can now offer cost-effective small print runs alongside our existing services.
"The capacity to deliver such a varied service offering can only be a good thing for existing and prospective clients, at a time when budgets need to stretch as far as they can, yet still deliver results."
The Ricoh investment comes on the back of the installation of a Heidelberg Polar 115X Plus guillotine in November last year.
In addition to the company's Heidelberg press offering, the new digital press enables the Yorkshire printer to produce a range of products such as corporate and promotional print, direct mail and packaging.
