The hour-long debate will be addressing the topic of personalisation in the Label & Print theatre at 11.30am.
Event director Alison Church said: “It wasn’t a conscious decision to have an all-female panel, we just chose the people that we thought were most relevant to speak on the topic. So it’s a great testament that many influential decision-makers and experts in the industry are women.”
The panel includes Nancy Janes, WW Graphics Solutions business programme director at HP; Karen Graley, packaging and reprographics manager at Waitrose; Lynn Harris, account director digital at JKR; and Antoinette Devine, global packaging and materials consultant at SABMiller.
The debate will be addressing the topic 'As personalisation increasingly becomes the norm, will its greatest impact be on the shelf or at home?'
Church said: “The format of the event will be a discussion between panellists and it will be kept very open so the audience can chip in and ask questions.”
It will be the Big Print Debate’s third year. “In the past 70-90 people attended the debate. It is a very popular part of the show and it is getting bigger and bigger every year,” said Church.
Packaging Innovations show will be taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on 25 and 26 February.
New organisation ‘Women in Packaging’, an initiative to support and connect women in the industry, is also being launched at the show on 26 February at 12pm.
