The M2540FB, which offers six-colour output, is being pitched at businesses making a foray into UV wide-format technology.
It can print at a maximum speed of up to 42sqm an hour on a bed size of 2,540mm x 1,540mm. It can handle substrates up to 450mm thick and up to a 80kg maximum weight.
In addition to the M2540FB, Agfa will showcase its UV-curable Anapurna M2050 machine, Anapurna 2540 FB and members of its Jeti family of printers.
According to Ingrid Merckx, chief operating officer for inkjet at Agfa Graphics, Fespa Digital enables the company to demonstrate products from its "complete range in wide-format inkjet".
"Next to the Jeti Aquajet Pro for industrial textile markets that we are showing, we maintain a strong focus potential on the professional UV-curable print solutions," she added.
Agfa will also use Fespa Digital to showcase presentations of its M-Press Leopard, which was launched at Fespa Digital 2011.
The smaller, manual version of Agfa's M-Press Tiger flatbed inkjet press incorporates the same inkjet shuttle technology as the Tiger, meaning it can match the Tiger for print quality and speed, and is intended for jobs that require more manual handling.
