Print profitability should be celebrated

Question. What is wrong with this picture?

1. Large blue chip posts results showing growth in profits and sales, result: celebration and plaudits, mega-bonuses all round in the boardroom.

2. Printing business that supplies large blue chip posts a reasonable profit, result: forensic accountants from client start crawling all over the business 'because you must be charging us too much'.

If a firm is winning work in a hugely-competitive market, via an exhaustive tender process, and they are clever enough to run their operations in such a way that allows them to make a decent living - even enough money to re-invest, shock - then this should be cause for celebration not censure.

I know for a fact that some printing businesses are scared of being seen as successful for the reasons outlined above. And that's wrong and very sad.
