Effective as of Monday (1 February), the Folex Digiprint IG range of clear, white and silver films, as well as adhesives and cling films all specifically developed for HP Indigo are now stocked and available from Premier.
The products, which are available in SRA3 and B2 formats, were previously distributed directly by Folex, which is an HP Alliance One Media Partner.
This portfolio was first introduced in 1994 and is officially approved by HP Indigo.
Simon Warren, head of sales and marketing for the Folex Print On Group, said: “I am very pleased to announce our new partnership for the UK, I have known John and Premier Paper for many years and the company offers a great service along with the right sales and technical backup to help us further develop the HP Indigo market. It fits perfectly with our ongoing strategy for the future.”
Premier sales director John Vic added: “I am delighted to add the Folex brand into our ever-growing portfolio of HP Indigo products for our customers. We will continue to enhance the choices for customers and to get the majority of their requirements in one order or phone call to Premier Paper.”
Separately, Premier's new regional distribution centre follows on from the opening of two other regional centres in Dartford and Bristol in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
The 2,787sqm facility more than doubles Premier’s warehouse capacity in the North West region and is located at Haydock, near St Helens, less than a mile from Junction 23 of the M6.
Premier said the proximity of the new branch to the motorway network will enable it to offer a fast and efficient service to customers in Liverpool, Manchester and all areas across the North West. It will also support other Premier branches throughout the North of England and Scotland.
Comprehensive stocks of paper, display media and packaging products will be held locally for same day or next day delivery.
Northern operations director Mike Banks said: “Our Liverpool and Manchester sales teams will continue to operate independently, based at the new regional facility, which is just 20 minutes’ drive from both Liverpool and Manchester city centres.
“We believe that Premier already offers industry leading service, but we are always looking at how we can do things better as our customer base develops and service requirements change.
“With a vehicle fleet made up of 10 trucks and an articulated lorry, the location will enable us to improve our logistics service across the North West. The new branch will keep extensive stocks of our core paper products, such as our Essential range and the UPM Finesse and UPM Fine ranges that we have recently added to our portfolio.
“In addition, Haydock will also be a regional stock centre for our other products and materials. A range of transit packaging will be held on site, together with our growing range of roll and sheet media for the sign and display market.”
