Paragon unveils major rebrand at graphics wing

Paragon Group aims to create a print power brand by rebranding its UK graphic services business – including the Service Point network – under the Service Graphics name with a fresh new look.

Paragon acquired the Service Graphics brand and the firm’s Glasgow and Skelmersdale operations in January. It acquired Service Point in 2014, and other buys since that also come under its Graphic Services division include Magenta Print & Display and Kingswood iOptus.

The new look was designed in-house and features a bright colour palette and circles motifs. It went live today (22 July) with rebranding at the group’s locations, vehicles, and a revamped website at www.servicegraphics.co.uk.

“We’ve been on the acquisition trail for five years. This is an opportunity to stitch it all together as one superbrand,” explained John Eager, chief executive of Paragon Graphic Services.

The combined businesses have sales of more than £60m, employ 600 staff, and have a network of 40 high street and business park locations, including 15 client locations. The operation has large-format production sites in Glasgow, Skelmersdale and Taunton. Customers range from blue-chip brands to small businesses and the combined businesses offer a broad range of design, print and digital media services.

Paragon said the launch of the brand “immediately establishes Service Graphics as the UK’s largest integrated print, design and display provider”. Eager described the offering as “unrivalled” and said that no other company had the same combination of capabilities spanning high street, digital and display.

He said the division remained on the lookout for more growth opportunities.

“The new Service Graphics name, logo and bright, fresh look better reflects what the company does – everything print, design and display, along with outstanding service – while positioning us for further growth.

“We are planning to expand and very much looking for new locations. We’re talking to independents and others looking to join us,” Eager stated.

The overall division, including its European locations, has sales of around €130m (£117m) and employs 1,100. Paragon Group has proforma sales of over €850m and operations in 15 countries, with more than 6,500 employees.
