Early success for Océ offset plan
Print equipment manufacturer Océ UK has offset 2,500 tonnes of carbon through a partnership with environmental consultants Shining Earth.
Bron Curley, Océ UK managing director, said: "Everybody has an ethical responsibility to do their bit towards sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, and we, at Océ, take that very seriously."
The total was reached in the first year of Océ’s commitment to offset 200% of the CO2 produced by its VarioPrint 6000 machines.
The carbon is offset in the UK via the Woodland Trust and globally in partnership with The CarbonNeutral Company.
Océ is supporting the Woodland Trust in its work to plant trees at Goltho Wood – a new wood in Lincolnshire that will extend and protect the nearby Lincolnshire Limewoods.
