Set to take place at The Wynn resort in Las Vegas on 21-24 January, the annual event will feature keynotes from industry veterans such as former IBM senior executive Alfred Zollar, EFI’s new chief executive and chairman Jeff Jacobson, who took the helm in August 2019, as well as a keynote ‘fireside chat’ between Jacobson and former EFI chief executive Guy Gecht.
Jacobson, whose CV includes chief executive roles at Kodak Polychrome Graphics, Presstek and, most recently, Xerox, will outline a vision for the future of print during his keynote speech on 21 January, highlighting trends affecting the communication, marketing and commerce markets.
"Connect provides outstanding value as a platform for sharing ideas in a way that really sets the tone for the year, outlining the proactive steps printing companies can take to establish a profitable, competitive advantage in their businesses," he said. "The discussions that will take place next month are not to be missed, especially with the caliber of experts we have coming to Las Vegas."
On the same day new chief executive will interview old as Jacobson quizzes Gecht at the event's traditional fireside chat.
“I interviewed Jeff Jacobson for a fireside chat in 2017, and now the tables have turned," said Gecht.
"I'm excited about being on the other side of the table and looking forward to sharing new reflections on the industry and its future opportunities. Print service providers continue to face challenges and opportunities, and their ability to quickly learn and adapt is key in realising profitable growth.
“As we start a new decade, I'm excited to come back to Connect, which continues to be a unique conference for customers and suppliers to gather actionable insights about trends in the industry and in technology."
Speaking on the second day of the conference, Zollar will highlight future trends and strategies for success for print professionals in the next era of information technology.
He said: "The Connect audience is the industry's most engaged in terms of businesses' commitment to improvement by leveraging data and ERP tools.
"I look forward to sharing many important future trends with them, including developments that affect how printing companies can manage their businesses to maximise productivity, flexibility and security in increasingly complex computing environments."
The conference will run around 200 sessions including educational talks, speeches and hands-on training, with delegates gaining in-depth knowledge of EFI’s production and industrial inkjet portfolio, its integrated MIS/ERP workflow and Fiery digital front-ends from executives and technical experts.
As well as EFI technology, the exhibition area will also feature displays from EFI partners including: Aberdeen Fabrics; Color Concepts; Duplo; Enfocus; Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA; MBM Corporation; OneVision; The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation; Progress Software Corp; Ricoh Americas Corp; RISO; SpencerMetrics; Thomson Reuters; and Zünd.
